JFE Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. (JFEM) and Toyochem Specialty Chemical Sdn. Bhd. (TSC) has signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) on 25th May 2023. JFEM shall supply solar power generated by roof-mounted solar PV system to TSC for 15 years. The installed capacity of solar PV system will be 1,097kWp.

JFEM shall install roof-mounted solar PV system on TSC’s factory rooftop, located in Seremban. This is the second solar PPA for JFEM, in which the capacity is twice as large as the first project. The project shall help TSC attain carbon reduction by 1,081t-CO2/year and will also allow TSC to save on their electricity billing.

JFEM is currently undertaking the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of TSC’s production plant expansion. TSC has signed PPA with JFEM as TSC has considered JFEM a reliable partner through the EPC work conducted for TSC, as well as its competitive PPA proposal. JFEM shall cater to the various needs of our clients, be it plant construction and carbon reduction efforts by capitalizing on our wide range of technical capabilities.
