J&T Berjaya Alam Murni  Sdn. Bhd.(JBAM), which is jointly owned by Berjaya Enviro Holdings Sdn. Bhd., J&T Recycling Corporation (J&T), and JFE Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd.(JFEM), has started partial operations of the Sustainable Scheduled Waste Treatment Centre (SSWTC) in Bukit Tagar Enviro Park located in Selangor, Malaysia. Opening ceremony for the 1st phase was held on 24th February 2023 to receive the first load of Scheduled Waste (SW) into the Secured Landfill.

JBAM is currently in the construction stage to develop the SSWTC Project to manage and treat various types of Scheduled Wastes (Hazardous & Toxic including Clinical Waste) via landfilling, solidification and incineration processes. The 1st Phase of SSWTC involves JBAM receiving selected types of Scheduled Wastes into the Secured Landfill. The 2nd Phase, commissioning of the whole facility is expected to be in October 2023.

JFEM is involved to undertake the construction of the Scheduled Waste-to-Energy (SWTE) Plant to incinerate and safely treat the Scheduled Wastes. On completion of the SSWTC Project, JBAM will be able to accept 73 SW Codes from various industries to safely manage, treat and dispose of their Scheduled Wastes in compliance with the environmental requirements in Malaysia.
